This Chair in a Bottle was built by Jesse Jackson in 1963 in Livingston, Kentucky. The chair is made from pine and is approximately 5" tall.  It has a blue and white yarn woven seat, tapered legs with cross rungs, and a straight back with two rungs between the upright back. The bottle is sealed with a long pine dowel shaped piece of wood going in the bottle and a square piece extended from the dowel outside the bottle. The dowel stopper is tamper proof with a cross piece of pine going through the dowel preventing you from pulling the dowel from the bottle.  The bottle has raised lettering which says "Federal Law Forbids Sale Or Re-Use Of This Bottle" and "4/5 Quart."  Rare for a Jesse Jackson bottle is the name stamped on side of top wood handle that says "Fort Sequoyah Ancient Indian Village, Llivingston KY."  The bottle has 1963 engraved on bottom, and numbers 2548-1.

The postcard picture of Jesse Jackson is not included in this sale.
